Jury duty week, downtown Tulsa, visits from Dan & Ang, walks with tea and coffee, delicious Mexican spread, Arkham Horror.
I have plans to do a huge write up of my jury duty week. It was weird and interesting and not as bad as I had thought it would be, even though a couple of my worst case scenarios came to pass. It would have been helpful for me to read an account of it written by someone with social anxiety disorder. If I somehow fail to get it written up, and you are googling “jury duty with social anxiety disorder” at least know this, it was doable, I did it, it was one of my biggest fears but I served on a jury and I didn’t freak out, everything will be okay. My service finished just in time for me to spend Thursday with friends who were only available to hang out in a super small window. Feeling pretty lucky about the whole thing, really.
I really want to thank everyone who left me replies about my jury duty anxiety, too. It really helped.
